The 32nd Congress is now over & has been a great success. We have now published the submitted papers here, together with the poster presentations available to us. Initially these will be password protected to ensure that preference is given to Congress Attendees (all attendees will be sent the password very shortly); later they will be opened to general viewing.
There is also a photo gallery of the conference; click here to view.
Meanwhile here again is the Invitation by the President of the German Brewers Association to the 2009 Congress:-
For the third time in EBC‘s history – after Baden-Baden in 1955 and Berlin in 1979 – Germany has the pleasure and the honour to be your host again.
The German Brewers Association – Deutscher Brauer-Bund – kindly invites you to the 32nd International Congress of the European Brewery Convention to be held in Hamburg, Germany, from 10 – 14 May 2009.
The organising committee is determined to ensure that the 32nd EBC will be a memorable event for you. Memorable for the learning experiences afforded by the sharing of technical knowledge and expertise through the presentations, posters, exhibition and technical visits programmes and for the unparalleled exposure to networking and friendship building.
The ‘Gateway to the World’ is the motto of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg. This old North Sea port is the second largest German city with a long brewing tradition. The congress will be held at the Congress Centre Hamburg (CCH), one of the world’s top congress venues, located right in the heart of the city and next to the beautiful park ‘Planten un Blomen’. Hotels in all categories, cultural attractions, recreational activities and shopping are all just a short walk away.
Nowadays in Germany more than 5000 different beer brands are produced by more than 1200 breweries. In addition to an exchange of the newest scientific and technological information we would like to invite you to get a taste of what we call „die deutsche Biervielfalt“ – the diversity of German beer.
We look forward to welcoming you to Hamburg.
